Look for the Porsche Approved seal when buying a pre-owned Porsche. A Porsche Approved pre-owned car offers you quality, peace of mind and, above all, plenty of driving pleasure.

Vehicle documentation: keeping the Warranty & Maintenance booklet in good order is an important measure of quality. As well as providing peace of mind, proper maintenance ensures that a vehicle best retains its value. The on-board and safety equipment is also checked for completeness and to make sure that the existing Porsche components are approved.

Vehicle analysis: the fault memory is processed as part of the general vehicle analysis. The mileage is also checked for plausibility to rule out that the odometer reading has been tampered with. Inspecting the engine for over-revving is another key aspect. This will make sure that there are no early signs of engine damage.

Interior: of the 111 points on the checklist, 39 relate to the interior. Safety-related aspects are tested, as well as the infotainment and multimedia systems and every conceivable interior setting option.

Wheels and tyres: tyres are safety-critical and transmit the high power of Porsche vehicles to the road or other surface. Checking whether the correct tyres are being used is therefore exceptionally important. The tyres' condition is also assessed for high quality based on selected features.

Drive system and underbody: when it comes to the drive system and underbody, checks predominantly relate to technical aspects which are safety-critical and of significance in terms of efficient and sporty performance. These include the functionality of various components such as the transmission, radiator, brakes, fuel and exhaust system, as well as the chassis.

Exterior: the vehicle's exterior components and modules create a harmonious overall look. That is why examining the body, paint, possible accident damage and other modules on the vehicle exterior is exceptionally important.

Engine: the heart of a Porsche is its engine. Therefore the running characteristics, belts, battery and other crucial components in the engine compartment are examined to ensure they are all interacting effectively. What cannot be measured is the legendary sound of a Porsche engine. That is something which has to be experienced.

Fluids: the levels of fluids such as the engine oil, coolant and the brake and clutch fluid are checked and topped up if necessary.

Test drive: the 111-point check concludes with a test drive. During this, safety-related aspects and typical Porsche driving characteristics such as the vehicle performance, braking action and handling are checked. Driver assistance systems which deliver a high level of convenience and safety also undergo testing.

Actual figures will vary as they are dependent on many factors, including without limitation: individual driving style, road and traffic conditions, environmental conditions, fuel quality, a vehicle’s or battery’s condition, load and use. Extra features and accessories (eg: equipment, wheels or tyres used etc.) can change relevant vehicle parameters such as weight, rolling resistance and aerodynamics and can also affect the consumption, emission, range and performance values of a vehicle. CO2 emissions can also be generated at the power source when vehicles are being recharged, unless 100% renewable energy is used. Generally, consumption, emissions, kilometre range and charging times will vary from the published figures in real world Australian driving and charging conditions.

The specified charging outputs and times (hour/minutes) are dependent on various factors: in general, the charging output and time can vary due to physical and chemical limits, depending on factors such as the available output of the country-specific energy infrastructure, the customer's own domestic installation, the temperature, interior pre-conditioning and charging status, as well as the age of the battery. Charging times may therefore be significantly higher than those specified. To achieve the optimum value of the specified DC charging time (DC = direct current) for a charge status increase from 5 to 80%, a CCS (combined charging system) fast-charging pedestal with > 270kW and > 850V is required, as well as a battery temperature of 30°–35°C. The charging status when commencing charging must not exceed 5%. For physical and chemical reasons, the charging speed decreases as the battery approaches its full capacity. Therefore, it usually makes sense to use fast DC charging to charge the battery up to 80% or up to the required range. The predominant use of CCS fast charging pedestals leads to a long-term increase in charging times. For regular fast DC charging, we recommend a maximum charging output of 50kW. When charging in a domestic environment, AC charging (AC = alternating current) is recommended. Using an (AC) industrial electrical outlet will result in improved efficiency and a much shorter charging time compared to using a household socket.
